More fun on every trail

A lightweight carbon frame paired with large 29″ wheels helps you to conquer every steep uphill section efficiently. And the suspension travel of 140 mm ensures that you will always be in control on your way down. With the combination of smooth running and agile handling, the Hugene is the perfect daily bike. So you get even more fun out of every trail, no matter what terrain.

Easy and comfortable climbing

Do you like steep climbs and and long uphill sections? Due to the steep seat angle and flat steering angle, our Hugene climbs every mountain smoothly and effortlessly. Together with the moderate reach, your power is transferred directly to the ground, and constant front wheel lifting is a thing of the past. Thanks to the large 29″ wheels, the traction improves a lot and brings you even better grip.

More single tracks? Yes please!

More flow even on technical terrain? Not a problem with our Hugene. The large wheels guarantee smooth running and excellent rollover behavior even at high speed. It’s playful character lets you fly from corner to corner without ever losing control. Whether rocky, rooty or sandy, with the Hugene you are agile enough to master any trail.

Why 29" wheels?

Comfort! Grip! Smooth running! We continue to rely on 29″ wheels for our trail bike. The advantages are obvious: The larger wheels ensure better rolling behavior and rough terrain can be rolled over more quickly than with smaller wheels. The larger contact area of the 29″ tires also improves traction resulting in better grip. The longer wheelbase makes the bike more stable and the larger wheels store more energy during the ride, which keeps you going faster for longer. And that is exactly what we want to achieve with our trailbike: speed, smoothness and comfort both uphill and downhill.

Hugene CF 29"

You prefer smooth running and usually do longer rides? Then the Hugene CF 29″ is exactly the right choice for you!

Smart details

Good looks are not everything. Our Hugene also impresses with its inner values and smart details. With quick-change chain guard, durable bearings and internal cable routing, you’ll get more time on the trail than in your garage.

Perfectly protected

To keep your frame protected at all times, our Hugene comes with a custom chainstay and downtube protectors. The chainstay protector absorbs chain vibrations and minimizes noise.

Better safe than sorry

The robust Acros frame bearings are additionally protected by our PROPAIN dirt shields. An extra seal protects the underlying bearings from dust, water and dirt.

Internal cable routing

We installed run cable ducts in our Hugene frame to protect the cables from dirt and eliminate annoying rattling sounds, but also to make the train installation particularly easy.

Whether pedaling uphill or going down fast, our Hugene always keeps a cool head. And off the trail it’s just a natural beauty.

The adjustable seatpost is probably one of the most ingenious inventions of recent years. In order to function optimally on the trail, the proper seatpost travel is very important. The following chart shows the recommended minimum inseam for the corresponding frame size. Please keep in mind that this is only a recommendation, as the respective sitting position depends very much on personal habits and preferences.

By combining a flat steering angle of 65.5° with a steep seat angle of 76.5° (effective) and the floating shock, which is centrally mounted in the bike, we achieve exactly this: easy pedalling on the uphill with a lot of pressure on the front wheel and an optimal weight distribution on the downhill. A characteristic that you notice once you get on the bike and never want to miss again afterwards. Remarkably, this geometry change has significantly improved both the uphill and downhill performance. A reach of 476 mm with a chainstay length of 445 mm at size L makes the new Hugene smoother and more agile than before and creates a noticeable balance.

Frequently Asked Questions – don’t fill any text in here

In-Stock Bikes are fully assembled and already packed for shipping. It is no longer possible to make any changes. Also color, decals or badge are not changeable.

We build the In-Stock Bikes exclusively with components that we have in stock in sufficient quantities and that do not affect existing customer orders. Therefore, we can put these bikes in stock and then ship them immediately.

The In-Stock Bike is, as the name implies, in stock. As soon as we have received your payment, your bike will be shipped. For this we need about two working days. The shipping depends on the parcel service and your place of residence and usually takes between three and ten business days. Shipping to an address outside of Germany may vary. Please see our delivery timetable.

Please note that the application process for financing through a service provider (also JobRad) is significantly longer and therefore the delivery may be delayed.

The In-Stock Bikes are only available in limited quantities. You can only order it while it is available. It is not possible to order In-Stock Bikes later. However, you can always order as usual via our configurator.

Our Hugene is assigned to bike category 4. Regular and permanent use on North Shore trails and in bike parks should therefore be avoided. Use in rough terrain and moderate jumps are no problem. After intense use, you should check your bike for damage before and after each ride.

Due to its geometry and frame characteristics, the Hugene is only designed for the use of 29″ wheels. Therefore it is not possible to mount wheels in 27.5″.

With its 29″ wheels, our trail bike is your ideal companion for longer tours or for your local home trails. The large wheels ensure optimal climbing characteristics in the uphill as well as solid performance over sticks and stones in the downhill. We are therefore convinced that 29″ wheels are the better choice for this field of use.

The mount is used to fix straps, tools, tubes or other spare parts that could be helpful on your tour.

Attaching drinking bottles up to 0.5 l is no problem. With larger frame sizes, 0.7 l bottles can also be stowed.

The bike comes with three stem spacers, uncut handlebars and all the instructions you need.
We offer further equipment like
pedals in our online store.

A general statement is not possible here due to the tolerances of the tire manufacturers’ width specifications. E.g. fit Schwalbe tires up to 2.4, VEE up to 2.35 and Maxxis up to 2.5WT.
