Updates from David Assfalg

As PROPAIN grows in North America, I’ll be posting regular updates on what the PROPAIN North America Crew is doing to increase transparency and improve the experience for you all.

HOLDING THE LINE: NAVIGATING TARIFF CHANGES

You may have seen recent headlines about new reciprocal tariffs imposed by the U.S. government. These changes directly impact companies importing goods from overseas – including us here at PROPAIN.

While these increased tariffs present a real financial challenge, we want you to know: our current pricing remains unchanged. Behind the scenes, our team is working hard to absorb these additional costs without passing them on to you, our customers.

How long can we keep this up? That’s hard to say. But one thing is clear – we’re committed to doing everything we can to maintain our current prices for as long as possible. This includes optimizing operations, re-evaluating supply chain strategies, and improving internal efficiencies – all to shield you from unnecessary price hikes.

As always, our goal is to deliver the best possible bikes at the best possible value. We’ll continue to keep you informed if anything changes, but for now, rest assured that your custom bike pricing stays steady, even in a shifting global trade landscape.

Thanks for riding with us.

OH? Canada!

Another quick note regarding shipments to Canada. Some of you may have noticed that we halted orders to Canada for a period of time. The reason for this was a bit complicated, but in short, the issue has been resolved and we can confidently resume sending the best bikes to our friends North of the Border.

While we’re on the subject, let’s cover some FAQs.
Q: When do I pay duties?
A: We work with our shipping partners to ensure our bikes are shipped with “delivery duty paid”. This means the cost calculated at checkout is all that you owe. Your bike will cross the border and be delivered to your home without any further payment or action from you.

Q: How much will duties cost me?
A: The GST for most Canadian bike orders is around 5% of the total price, while the PST varies depending on your exact location.

Q: Can prices be displayed in Canadian dollars?
A: No. Right now, all prices are displayed and processed in USD. Unfortunately we do not have a way to display static CAN pricing at this time.

Q: How much is shipping?
A: To cover our shipping costs and fees incurred at the border, shipping is $499 for complete bikes and $349 for framesets.
