The frame geometry is fully “suspension-corrected,” meaning it has been designed for use with a 40mm travel suspension fork. Our rigid carbon fork has the same axle-to-crown height, ensuring that it does not alter the geometry.
To ensure you’re fully equipped for bikepacking and commuting, the ability to store equipment on the bike is extremely important. With mounting points for frame bags and top tube bags on the top tube, mounting points for bags or cages on the fork sides, and mounting points for fenders and racks, as well as three bottle cages, we’ve covered all the bases with the Terrel. With our mounting points for all your equipment, you achieve a clean look without the hassle of straps. Your gear always stays exactly where it should, without wobbling, rattling, rubbing, or slipping.
A frame bag that can always stay on the bike. The sleek, size-specific bag fits perfectly into the triangle of the Terrel frame. It is fixed tool-free at the screw points, allowing it to seamlessly integrate into the design, and can thus remain on the bike unnoticed. And if you ever need to carry more, you can easily expand the volume of the bag from 3,5l to 5l with the full-length zipper.
Our Wilderness Essential Equipment Depository Box allows you to store all your essential gear within the frame through a large opening in the downtube. With our uniquely developed closure system, it’s easy to open even when a bottle is attached. It’s sealed against dust, mud, and water, and doesn’t rattle. With the two included bags, the Tube Bag and the Tool Bag, you can store not only the titular utensils but also keys, valuables, and anything else you need to stow away in smaller compartments.
A soft TPR protector shields the chainstays of the Terrel. The added bumps efficiently dampen chain vibrations, ensuring absolute silence even when riding trails with the Terrel. The downtube protection guards the Blend Carbon frame against rock strikes and ground contact while also providing the option to mount a third water bottle.
The threaded T47 bottom bracket with its large, durable bearings requires minimal maintenance. Unlike press-fit bottom brackets, it tend to develop noises. Once installed, you can ride worry-free. The UDH dropout is easy to replace in case of damage and allows for the installation of SRAM transmission derailleurs.
The frame and carbon fork have a tire clearance of 700Cx50 for comfort and grip. Of course, the corresponding tires can also be selected directly in the configurator.
For a modern carbon frame that withstands ambitious riding for a long time, it’s not enough to just use good carbon material. Instead, it requires a blend of various carbon fibers and fabrics with diverse properties to meet the demands. PROPAIN carbon frames are made from pre-impregnated (prepreg) carbon layers. These ensure optimal resin content and result in significantly higher strength values. Each layer has specific properties and tasks at certain points of the frame. Based on the requirements for stiffness, flexibility, impact resistance, weight, strength, and direction of stress, different fibers and fabrics are used. With our Terrel, we intentionally use an additional high-quality high modulus fiber, allowing us to manufacture the frame extremely stiff against torsion during pedaling without compromising on vibration damping and seating comfort.
