This year, the desert of Utah once again transforms into the stage for the world’s toughest freeride event – the Red Bull Rampage. Two weeks before the event, the selected athletes and their personal trail-building crews start scouting their lines in the Rampage zone and digging through the scorching hot terrain of Virgin to prepare for their run. We can hardly wait to cheer on the best riders in this sport live on-site and on screens from October 10th to 12th – with a very special premiere this year: For the first time in the history of the Red Bull Rampage, women will be competing, including our athlete Cami Nogueira. Additionally, we are excited to see the runs of Carson Storch and Clemens Kaudela in the men’s category.
“A very special frame for a very special event” – that was Cami’s wish before the start of her first Rampage. She not only fulfills her childhood dream of participating in the event but also presents her first self-designed Rampage bike, decorated with tattoo motifs that are close to her heart.
In the past, the Argentine rider has proven her skills at numerous freeride events, such as Proving Grounds, the Tour de Gnar, and the Red Bull Formation. In the latest Anthill film “Anytime” , she already got to gain some experience in the desert landscape of Utah. We are confident that Cami will rock the Rampage and can’t wait to see the line she and her crew will create in the untouched terrain.
Carson Storch is a familiar face at the Red Bull Rampage. This year, the veteran will be at the starting line for the tenth time. He has captured his impressive journey, which began in 2014, on this year’s bike with a “C2 Corvette race car design”. After placing third last year, he will do everything he can to defend his spot on the podium.
The third rider in the group is none other than Clemens Kaudela, who still has unfinished business with the Utah desert. In 2023, he qualified for Rampage for the first time with the video “The Minister”. After crashing heavily in both finals last year, he already announced in preparation for this year’s Rampage: “I’ll be back!”
Clemens not only impresses with his daring jumps but also has a knack for trail building. We’re excited to see what creative ideas he will bring to life this year – especially with his Terminator bike, which will highlight his impressive skills.
Injury Update
Clemens Kaudela suffered a heavy fall during training on Tuesday when he came off the line and was then thrown over the handlebars into the flat ground compression.
Although he was conscious and responsive after the fall, there was concern about the blow he had received. As this area is one of the most difficult to access, the decision was made to rescue him by helicopter.
Clemens is now in hospital. We are awaiting official updates, but after reviewing the crash video, it seems unlikely that he will be able to compete this weekend.
It breaks our hearts to see him fall again this week after his big (and somewhat similar) OTB fall last year. Get well soon, C-Dog! Best of luck on your recovery!
Just like last year, all our riders will once again be competing with our purebred freerider, the Spindrift. However, this year’s edition marks the premiere of our newly released Spindrift 5 AL Park. Equipped with a mullet setup for maximum agility and a dual crown fork, nothing stands in the way of our athletes pulling off extraordinary tricks and spectacular lines – Let’s go!
