Phil Atwill is back!

We are very pleased to announce that Phil Atwill is now back on PROPAIN Bikes.

After two years of absence, the manual and style master returns to PROPAIN. As a freelance athlete, he will implement his own program. His main focus will be on UCI World Cups, video projects and other events.

Phil Atwill grew up in Berkhamsted, UK, just outside London, and is one of the most all-round riders you can find. Downhill, enduro, freeride, BMX and trial, this man can do it all, but his main discipline remains downhill. At the last UCI World Cup in 2020, he rode to the podium with an incredibly stylish run. In 2021, he will compete in selected stops of the Mercedes-Benz UCI World Cup and other events.

Phil has been living in Greece for a little over 2 years now and has found himself at the heart of the local MTB community. In addition to training for World Cups, he also helps to grow the Greek MTB scene. Together with him, we want to support the promising talents Socratis Zotos and George Panagopoulos on board. Keep your eyes peeled for these talented shredders!

But let the man speak for himself:

I couldn't be happier to be back at PROPAIN and start my own program for 2021 and beyond. PROPAIN was a big part of my career from 2016 to 2018 as I grew with the company and achieved my first podium and many outstanding moments with them. It's a really authentic bunch of guys and girls who love to build bikes that they love to ride. I'm really excited to be back and to support and be supported by a brand that I believe in. PROPAIN offers me the freedom to do what I want to do. Bringing the talented riders Sokratis Zotos and Giorgos Panagopoulos on board has also been really exciting and has boosted my creativity. However, I will still compete and focus on the full World Cup season and other events, just in my own way. I can't wait to get going again.

Imagine you have a great girlfriend. You're a perfect match, but some crazy circumstances lead to you splitting up and each going your own way. Without going into the details, but that pretty much describes what happened when Phil left PROPAIN. Neither of us was happy. Two years later, different circumstances and hey, we're back together. Happy Days - Welcome home Phil!

The entire PROPAIN crew is thrilled to have Phil Atwill back on the team and we look forward to our upcoming projects together. Welcome back, Phil!

Enough talk, here are some unseen, old recordings of Phil on PROPAIN. Thanks to Tom Caldwell
