Hit it hard

Full focus on the track, no worries about the bike. The Rage 3 CF was developed for racing conditions and is more robust than ever. Features like extra-sealed, large-diameter stainless steel frame bearings and shock-absorbing frame protectors make the Rage 3 CF a bike you can always rely on.

Racing Line

Inside or outside line. No matter which line you ride or what the surface is like, the Rage 3 CF works reliably and simply swallows up any roots or rocks.

Wheel sizes

29″ or Mix. The geometry can be adapted to the respective wheel size by means of a flip chip.

Stability through 29"

M L XL

29″ is optimal for high speed, smoothness and offers better rollover behaviour. The larger contact surface gives you more grip.

Maximum handling with Mix

M L XL

Mix is more agile and manuverable with the smaller rear wheel. With the big front wheel, obstacles are easy to overcome.

Build Kits

Racing means no compromises! As with all our bikes, only the best parts are selected. In the configurator you can put together your race bike according to your preferences or choose an equal setup as our World Cup riders.

Developed with athletes

During the development of the new Rage 3 CF, we worked closely with the PROPAIN Factory Racing team. The team tested the Rage 3 CF for over a year on downhill tracks in Portugal, New Zealand and the Alps. With their feedback, we were able to keep optimising the DH bike down to the smallest detail.

Its been 2 years since the first visual sample from the 3D printer to various prototypes to the final bike.

Short chainstay length of 445 mm or
long chainstay length of 460 mm

Flat head angle of 63°

Long reach of 440 mm - 495 mm

Adjustable geometry via flip chip to 29" or Mix

Stainless steel bearings with Dirt-Shields

PRO10 suspension system with 38% progression

Geometry

“Made for racing with heaps of fun” – that’s the feedback from the World Cup team. The Rage 3 CF is a thoroughbred race bike. The combination of a longer reach and a 63° head angle makes it even more stable than before in high-speed sections. In the setup with the short chainstay, it is extremely agile and manuverable.

Chainstay

The chainstay length can be ridden in the long 460 mm or short 445 mm version, regardless of the wheel size.

PRO10 Suspension

The PRO10 suspension system offers a lot of sensitivity thanks to the floating shock and already starts to work on the smallest bumps. The 38% progression makes optimal use of the suspension travel and provides enough counterhold in bends and bottom-out resistance in strong impacts – it gives you the feeling of endless suspension travel.

individualist

The demands on a downhill bike can vary depending on the route or preferences. To meet these requirements, the Rage 3 CF can be optimally adapted to these preferences.

Blend Carbon

Different high-tech carbon fibres are used in the Rage 3 CF. This allows us to define the perfect mix of stiffness, flexibility, weight and robustness of the frame with millimetre precision.

Moving things forward

The new shock position in front of the seat tube allows us to achieve better weight distribution. The bike’s centre of gravity is low and central. The Rage 3 CF is designed for both coil shocks and air shocks. The PRO10 kinematics offer the ideal progression and traction.

Flip Chip

Thanks to the flip chip, the geometry is ideally adapted to Mix or 29″ wheels.

What a journey it has been

15 years ago, the Rage, together with the PRO10 suspension system, laid the foundation for what PROPAIN is today. Initially, Robert Krauss wanted to develop the perfect DH bike for himself, it was only intended as a bike for him and his friends. He wrote a list of requirements with 10 points that the suspension system had to fulfil. The result is still the core of our bikes and the formula for success of PROPAIN Bikes.

The size of the frame plays an important role in the bike’s performance and, above all, in its enjoyment. Select the frame size you need from the table. If you are between two sizes, then you only have to decide whether you like it playful or smooth. For smooth riding, choose the larger frame size, for playful riding, choose the smaller frame size.

How do I know which frame size is right one for me?
The section “frame size” on the product page shows a recommendation from us regarding the optimal frame size depending on your body size.

Is there an aluminum version of the Rage?
Currently, we offer the Rage only in carbon.

Can I use the Rage with a single crown fork?
The frame is designed for a double crown fork and should only be used with one.

Can I install a Reachadjuster/Angleset in my Rage?
Yes, a Reachadjuster/Angleset can be installed.

What is the maximum rider weight?
The frame is approved for riders up to a maximum weight of 120 kg/265lbs.

Where can I find information about exact dimensions, installation lengths, torque specifications, etc.?
You can find the information in the “Downloads” section or in our Tech Archive. Here you have access to the exploded view as well as the manual.

Can I change my wheelbase on the Rage using a flip chip?
The wheelbase can be changed to a short and a long position with the help of the installed flip chip.

Is it possible to order the Rage with 27.5″ inch wheels?
We offer the Rage only with 29″ inch wheels and in the mix option. (27.5″ rear and 29″ front)

When will the Rage be available?
A non-binding delivery date is displayed in the customizer when you place your order.

Do you offer other components, such as an orange Fox suspension fork, that are not listed in the customizer?
No, we only offer the components and color variants that we show in the configurator.

What does my frame look like in the colour Raw?
Carbon raw is a real beauty! The frames are getting a special treatment before we paint them so the carbon surface, which is shining through the paint, is showing its best side. Besides the clear paint there is also a light dark coating applied. This results in a light dark shine of carbon material, especially in sunlight. Each model is different so every method and also materials will differ. That also means every single frame is a unique.
